Founded in 2024 by Gavin Hanson, formerly Principal Engineer at Patchworks for five years and co-founder of Cylo Limited, a Docker orchestrator acquired in 2020. The agency operates across three delivery practices with the same engineering team: Patchworks integration, NetSuite consultancy, and AI enablement. Cirql Works built and operates PatchBuddy, the world’s first AIiPaaS (AI Integration Partner as a Service), in production since January 2026 and licensed to other Patchworks agencies and customers. The company is founder-led and deliberately small. Senior engineers run every client engagement end to end; there is no offshoring layer between the agent on the discovery call and the engineer writing the integration. Clients span the UK, Europe, North America and Australia.

Founder & Principal Engineer
Gavin Hanson
Founder of Cirql Works. Five years as Principal Engineer at Patchworks before founding the agency. Previously co-founded and was COO of Cylo Limited, a Docker orchestrator that pre-dated Kubernetes and was acquired in 2020. Architect and technical lead on PatchBuddy.

Operations Director
Charlie Hanson
Operations Director at Cirql Works. Runs the day-to-day: accounting, scheduling, customer liaison and the scaffolding that keeps the engineering side focused on shipping. Two decades across the corporate and educational sectors, including time at Severn Trent. Founded her own apparel brand in 2025 alongside her role at the agency.
Available for comment on: founder-led professional services operations, husband-and-wife small business, running alongside an independent apparel brand, scaling without losing senior-led delivery.

Palette, typography, naming and the brand bar.
The visual system is deliberately small. A typographic wordmark in General Sans, three brand colours and a distinctive 8px bar that frames the top and bottom of every page. For vector wordmark files, request a copy from contact@ecirql.com with your intended use; we send fitted files rather than a zipped archive of every format.

Brand bar
An 8-pixel horizontal bar fixed to the top and bottom of every page on the site. Three solid blocks left-to-right: 50% Cirql Blue, 25% Cirql Teal, 25% Cirql Pink. The distinctive visual anchor of the brand and the easiest way to identify screenshots as belonging to Cirql Works.
Typography
- General Sans Display & body. Variable weight, free licence via Fontshare.
- JetBrains Mono Variable Monospace. Used for eyebrows, codes, technical accents.
Naming conventions
- The legal entity is Cirql Works Ltd. The trading name is eCirql. Either is correct on first mention; subsequent references can use whichever reads better.
- PatchBuddy is one word, capital P and B. Live at patchbuddy.ai. It is the product line, not the agency.
- AIiPaaS is one word: AI Integration Platform as a Service. Pronounced like I-pass. PatchBuddy is described as “the world’s first AIiPaaS”.
- The integration agency is a certified Patchworks Partner Agency. Patchworks itself is the iPaaS platform; wearepatchworks.com.

PatchBuddy is a separately branded product from Cirql Works, live at patchbuddy.ai. It is the world’s first AIiPaaS: an AI agent that turns a natural-language brief into Patchworks process flows inside the customer’s account, end to end. In production since January 2026.
